Lipodissolve: Does it get rid of unwanted fat?
Lipodissolve or Liposuction
Relatively new on the market, Lipodissolve is a non surgical medical procedure. A special compound called phosphatidylcholine is injected into small localized fat deposits to dissolve fat. Phosphatidylcoline (PPC) is a naturally occuring enzyme and is the main component of soy lecithin.
The theory is Lecithin has shown to have some success in breaking down fat and reduce cholesterol. PPC has been used for fat removal by physicians for several years now as a non invasive alternative to surgical procedures such as liposuction.
Is Lipodissolve a safe alternative to Liposuction?
No so according to Katherine Zeratsky over at MayoClinic.com. Zeratsky states: “Only a few, small scientific studies have been performed to test the safety and efficacy of the fat-dissolving shots. So far, the shots have not worked for everyone who has received them, and there have been serious side effects reported.”
